Great Explorations Children’s Museum is a 24,000 sq ft museum designed for children 10 and under. The museum is filled with exhibits and activities to stimulate learning through creativity, play and exploration.
This project includes extensive renovations to the existing facility originally built in 2003. The current lobby area is receiving a complete rework to offer a more inviting and transparent entry way into the exhibit space. A new staircase provides tiered-seating as well as access to a new 2,000 sf multipurpose room addition on the second floor. The new space will be used for educational classes, special events and rental space. Alongside the new multi-purpose space addition the second floor is receiving several makeovers to the offices and classrooms as well. The office space is being reorganized to accommodate additional workstations and provide a more efficient use of space.
